Dr. Madu is the Chairman and CEO of DOCS Nigeria Ltd. Dr. Madu is responsible for global operations and coordination of strategic relationships with international partners and centers of excellence. Dr. Madu is an internationally recognized authority in cardiovascular medicine and innovative healthcare solutions. Dr Madu, a successful healthcare entrepreneur, is a Co-Founder of International Healthcare Services Ltd (I-HS), Echo Doctors of America LLC, Medical Imaging and Diagnostics Inc, USA, DOCS Jamaica Ltd and the Heart Institute of the Caribbean, Jamaica and sits on the boards of several companies. Dr Madu lectures extensively around the world on innovative healthcare solutions, healthcare technology transfer and strategic applications. His opinions are regularly sought by leading international organizations and think tanks like TED, World Policy Journal, General Electric, UNICEF, US-Africa Business Summit and Medical Tourism Association. His work has been profiled in leading international journals and magazines. He previously served on the academic faculty of leading cardiovascular centers of excellence in the USA including such institutions as Vanderbilt University Medical School, University of Tennessee and University of Florida and was part of the innovative Telemedicine team at UCLA in the 90s. Dr Madu is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Forensic Medicine. Dr. Madu has published over 100 peer reviewed scientific papers in leading academic journals including such journals as Nature Medicine, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC), Cardiology Research and Circulation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), American College of Physicians (FACP), American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP) and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCP Edin). Dr Madu is one of a handful of non-European Cardiologists to be recognized with the award of Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) over 10 years ago. He has served as a Reviewer for several major cardiology journals including the journal Echocardiography, Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, Circulation, Chest and the American Journal of Cardiology. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at several Universities around the world and holds the academic rank of Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Imaging Technology at the University of Technology, Jamaica. He serves on the World Health Care Congress Leadership Council and on the Steering Committee of the International Cardiovascular Disease Network along with other international opinion leaders in Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr Madu was a featured platform speaker at the World Health Innovations Summit at the World Health Congress in Washington DC on April 17, 2012 and is scheduled to deliver a keynote lecture to the World Congress of Nephrology in May 2013 in Hong Kong.
